Josua Hutagalung, a young man from Indonesia, became a millionaire after a rock on his house. However, it was not just an ordinary rock but a meteorite worth a lot of money.
According to various media reports, Josua was asleep when the rock hit the roof of his house, when he went to check he found the rock that was still hot from soaring through the sky.
“The sound was so loud that various parts of the house shook,” he told local media.
When in doubt about the origin of the rock, he went to experts who revealed that it was a meteorite, a very valuable rock.
With the size of a soccer ball, the material of this rock can cost an average of $857 per gram, with a total weight of 2 kilograms the rock was sold for one million 700 thousand dollars.
The meteorite is cataloged as ‘CM1/2 carbonaceous chondrite‘ and it is estimated that it could be approximately 4.5 billion years old.
