Although scientists have not yet found confirmation of the existence of extraterrestrial life, many believe that it could exist.
If some reasonable beings were studying the Earth from other distant planets with tools similar to those used by humans, they could get an idea of what our planet is like.
A model, developed by American scientists, shows what astronomers on other planets would see at a distance of several light years, when studying Earth through telescopes, reports the journal Science.
Cornell University researchers used around 10,000 Earth images taken by NASA employees with the help of the Deep Space Climate Observatory satellite in ten individual wavelengths during 2016 and 2017.
This method does not allow to obtain an accurate image of the exoplanet, but to know if there are oceans, clouds and ice sheets, that is, the conditions of a potentially inhabited world.
