Certainly, we all notice how historically we talked about the F-35, on the one hand, and the greater visibility of Aeronautics and Marine claimed in specialized sites, on the other, also thanks to the recent launch of the LHD Trieste, the first PPA Paolo Thaon de Revel and of the recent Ravenna-Punta Marina Air Show that benefited from direct RAI and the participation of Aeronautics, Navy, Army, Guardia di Finanza, Coast Guard and valuable private contributions.
It is equally evident that if we observe an air show on the “wrong” side, we face the crowds and, in passing, those aligned in the observation line (let’s be honest for one reason:
the increasingly powerful anglicisms in our language make the idea is better and somehow more concise than what you want to describe with words …), you can count hundreds of thousands of enthusiastic spectators who are also a reserve of votes, many also supporters of the legality and support of our law enforcement .
In the organizations represented there are many uniformed people, but also many workers who work at each level, from the rivet to the wing box, and they are not few.
Finally, we can calmly discuss and document what is in sight of everyone despite the stomach ache of someone who inexplicably did not see and perhaps still does not see what others see, hear and touch.
We all remember the live commentary of the Marina di Grosseto air show (2017), after the celebrations for the “100 years of hunting aviation”, where the F-35 made its first public appearance ignored by the comments of the guests of Live television while in flight making its brief exhibition.
The air show on the beaches of Punta Marina will certainly not have lived up to other European events, but it was very rich in content thanks to the contribution of the armed forces that showed the “current muscles” and many of the products of the industry national.
The F-35 entered the scene in an evocative and significant air flight with 2 AMX International A-11 Ghibli (a plane that will celebrate its 30 years of service in September) assuming a virtual transfer between the new and the old that will inexorably reach the end of the operational service
Then, a KC-130J of the 46th Aerobrigata flew over the supply area, with its two flexible tube probes, a pair of new and powerful “specialized” helicopters for the combat SAR and special operations Leonardo HH-101A CSAR.
The “very bad” performances of the Experimental Department with the best of the best in coaches, or the very agile Master T-346A, the elegant and powerful Eurofighter F-2000A Typhoon and the C-27J Spartan closed together with air traffic.
– The KC-767A tank together with a Typhoon and the eleventh F-35A of the 32nd Stormo, a true demonstration of the strength of the Italian Air Force which, in the words of the Chief of Staff of the Italian Air Force Network “… although in small number represented all the excellencies and specializations of the armed force and our industry”.
