The airlines within the Russian operator S7 Group summed up the results of production activities for February 2019. Over the past month, the airline carried over 1 million passengers, which is 8.5% more than in February 2018.
S7 Group reported that domestic flights contributed with 769,026 passengers, which is 6.7% more than in February 2018. Growth in international areas amounted to 13.6%. In February 2019, 283,557 passengers were transported on international flights by the airline. The passenger turnover for the month increased by 11.9% and amounted to 2.2 million thousand pkm.
“The significant increase in passenger traffic is due to the expansion of the fleet and the increase in the number of flights in the route network of S7 Airlines. Compared to February of last year, the S7 Airlines air fleet grew by 14 aircraft, and the number of new flights increased by 8.8%”, said Igor Veretennikov, S7 Group Commercial Director.
S7 Airlines continues to expand its route network, offering passengers new direct flights. In February, sales were opened for new flights from Novosibirsk – to Astana and Batumi, as well as to a renewed flight from Moscow to Vienna. S7 Airlines together with the partner airline Royal Air Maroc opened flights to Morocco. In addition, last month S7 Airlines won the Skyway Service Award in two nominations. Passengers recognized the S7 Priority loyalty program and the economy class airline service on domestic airlines as the best.
