NASA is Monitoring Potentially Dangerous Asteroid Closely which will Pass near Earth

NASA revealed that the asteroid 163373, listed as “potentially dangerous” threat to our planet, will pass near Earth on February 15, becoming a potential risk for all inhabitants.

The asteroid 163373, which has a diameter between 440 and 900 meters, is one of the potentially dangerous objects identified by NASA, which maintains constant monitoring of these types of bodies.

However, the probability that it crashes on our planet is minimal, since the asteroid will pass 15 times the distance between the Earth and the Moon, that is, 5,766,000 kilometers.

This asteroid was discovered on October 23, 1995 and was placed in the Apollo group of objects flying in the Earth’s orbit, which is why it is listed as “potentially dangerous.”

Its next step close to Earth wont be until 2075, so there is no reason to worry about the asteroid 163373.
