The founder of the SpaceX company, Elon Musk, has responded this Sunday in Russian to the congratulations of the head of the Russian space agency Roscosmos, Dmitri Rogozin, for the successful launch of the Falcon 9 rocket.
This landmark launch has made SpaceX the first private company in history to put astronauts into orbit.
In addition, the mission, which has been dubbed SpaceX Demo-2, is NASA’s first astronaut space trip to take off from American soil in nearly a decade.
“Thank you, sir, ha ha. We look forward to mutually beneficial and prosperous long-term cooperation,” wrote the tech billionaire on his Twitter account.
Musk’s message came in response to Rogozin’s tweet, in which the Russian official congratulated, in English, his NASA counterpart Jim Bridenstine on the launch and asked him to convey his “sincere regards” to Elon Musk, in addition to offering future cooperation.
It is not the first time that the businessman writes in Russian. He has already replied in this language to different publications on Twitter, both from common users and from some officials.
