The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, in Florida, reported that two people probably lost their lives in a plane crash on Sunday in front of the Marathon International Airport.
CBS Miami reported that a Cessna 2010 Centurion 1961 model plane with two people crashed into the sea and that a diving team belonging to the Commission for the Conservation of Fish and Wildlife of that state came to try to rescue survivors or recover the bodies.
However, it was reported that one of the bodies was found thanks to a sailor who warned the Coast Guard. So far the search for the other passenger of the aircraft continues.
The authorities also reported that Federal Aviation Administration personnel will participate in the investigation of this fact.
Flight records indicate that the crashed plane took off from Marathon at 6 in the morning and apparently was headed for Savannah, Georgia.
