The passage of a meteor illuminated the Australian sky on Friday night in the states of Tasmania and Victoria.
Surveillance cameras installed in both residential and rural areas captured this impressive scene that took place when it was dark, around 20:30.
The size of the meteor could not be determined with certainty, but some experts believe it could be at least “the big of a soccer ball”.
The celestial body, also commonly called shooting star, was located 20 to 30 kilometers from the earth’s surface, according to astronomers.
