Egypt could be invaded soon after the worst locust plague in 70 years ravaged the vast majority of East Africa.
The worst locust plague in 70 years is currently ravaging East Africa, endangering the economies of a region heavily dependent on agriculture for food security. In recent days, the infestation has affected South Sudan, Uganda and Tanzania, as it has decimated crops in Ethiopia, Kenya and Somalia.
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) described the situation as “extremely alarming,” and Egypt could soon be invaded as they head north along the Red Sea.
Scientists point the finger at climate change, blame it for the rapidly warming waters in the Indian Ocean off the east coast of Africa to become the perfect breeding ground, however, the biblical writer Mark. A Kellner has another theory.
Kellner said earlier this month: “Rarely since the exodus of Hebrew slaves in Egypt has the African continent seen such a spectacle, lobsters swarm through Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan and Uganda.”
The biblical writer refers to the Plagues of Egypt : A story depicted in the Book of Exodus in which God inflicts 10 disasters or plagues on the Egyptian people after Pharaoh refuses to accept Moses’ demands for the Israelites to be released of their slavery chains.
Terror for locust plague in Egypt
Exodus 10: 12-15 says: “And the Lord said to Moses,” Stretch out your hand over Egypt so that the locusts swarm over the earth and devour all that grows in the fields, all that left the hail. “
“Then Moses spread his staff over Egypt , and the Lord blew an east wind over the earth all that day and all that night. In the morning, the wind had brought the lobsters; 14 invaded all of Egypt and settled in all areas of the country in large numbers. Never before has so much locust plague arisen , nor will there ever be more. ”
“They covered all the ground until it was black. They devoured everything that was left after hail, everything that grew in the fields and the fruit of the trees. There was nothing green in trees or plants throughout the land of Egypt .”
But Mr. Kellner says that there is another piece of writing that shows that this swarm shows that we are living in the last days, and it comes from Matthew 24.
He added: “The Scriptures tell us that we are living in the last days, and during that period“ nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places. Everything is the beginning of sorrows. ” That is why this specialist believes that the signs of the end times are visible to everyone.
“Famine and pestilence? Sounds like what is happening in East Africa right now. The news may be full of terrible threats, but God tells us not to let our hearts be troubled.
“He gives us warnings during the last days not to scare us, but to prepare ourselves spiritually,” he concluded.
