Turkish Airlines signed an agreement with the Transport Clearing Chamber on entry into the Russian Air Transport Settlement System (ATSS) for sales of tickets and settlements.
Participation in ATSS allows the airline to significantly expand its distribution network, gaining access to a wide network of accredited agencies for the sale of air transportation and additional services, guaranteed and timely transfer of revenue, a package of various services and transparent financial reporting.
At the same time, Turkish Airlines and Sirena-Travel have signed a partnership agreement for the organization of transportation sales through a modern Russian reservation system with more than 18,000 terminals in Russia, the CIS countries and abroad.
Turkish Airlines is one of the largest airlines in Europe, which operates flights to more countries of the world than any other airline. Thus, within the framework of the partnership relations of Turkish Airlines, the Transport Clearing Chamber and the GDS Syrena-Travel, there will be an opportunity at a high level to provide air transport clearance services on the TCH stock for passengers.
“This day was preceded by big and serious negotiations. Signing for us is a historic step because Turkish Airlines is today the largest foreign air carrier that sells tickets in Russia”, said the head of Transport Clearing Chamber, Mikhail Baskakov. “Such relations are very important for TCH and Sirena-Travel. I hope that this is an important step in expanding the sales network on Russian territory. Our task is to repeatedly raise sales so that everyone will benefit from it: and the passengers in the first place. I hope that the business will expand”, added he.
According to the Transport Clearing Chamber, today the ATSS combines 76 Russian and foreign airlines, more than 20 major service and service providers, 700 accredited agencies, over 4,000 accredited points of sale for air traffic in 22 countries.
